This will be 2 generations old now. The current Series coming out is 2xx and the one before that with the new architecture and igpus that were competitive with amd are the 1x5 series. This is old tech they want to clear out.

This is not old tech by any means. Series 2 now is just coming out, so this is still current generation, not 2 gens behind. Also improvements are incremental, so I would definitely prefer better price instead of +8% in performance. Only real improvement will be the battery life, but still we don't have enough tests for the 2nd gen Intel ultra platform to be able to confirm for sure how much battery life will improve.

I like the Ideapad series, the value is pretty good. According to the manufacturer, this is soldered ram, no upgrade path to 32GB. But these will work nicely for a lot of people.
