Remember this is the one that melt your motherboard, intel patches seems to be unstable and it's at least 10% performance hit.

I mean, for this low price it's worth the risk tbh. You get a five year warranty if it ever craps out on you and you can easily undervolt it or force the intel limits to make sure it never draws more power than it needs. Also, I believe the i9 models are the ones that are more susceptible to being unstable compared to the i7 models.

I've had this CPU for a year now, and it's been nothing but great. Paired with Windows 11 and an AIO cooler, I was getting temps around 40°C at idle and 70-80°C under full load while gaming or rendering.

Here are my specs if you're curious:

• 13700K
• 64GB DDR5 5600 MHz
• 2TB storage
• RTX 4070

Compared to the 14700K, the 13700K does run hotter. If given the choice, I'd definitely pick the 14700K, which I currently own and upgraded to simply because the opportunity arose. However, the 13700K is still a beast of a CPU, and if it's the best you can get for your budget, don't hesitate.

why 13700K run hotter than 14700K?

Supposedly the new bios update fixes the voltage issue, buy at your own risk obviously. You can just get a 12900k and get equivalent performance but it will run hotter.

by the time you get Case, psu, CPU COOLER, MEMORY, SSD, and motherboard, the price add up, may as well get whole Dell System for $859.00 from NewEggs. You may save few buck here and there but with Dell, it all in one shop

Yes it's one of the cpu that have issues, but I don't think it will melt motherboards? That's the AMD CPUs when it had a very similar issue
