There are a lot of significantly cheaper 3rd party alternatives that are better and have a bigger battery. This strap adds 17.9Wh (2330mAh, 7.68V), which some say allows you to VR for 3 hours total.

For comparison, the equivalent mAh for most USB battery packs would be ~4838mAh (3.7V) and I could not find a 3rd party head strap with a battery that small.

Also, some people get a 3rd party strap and combine it with a separate 10,000mAh or 20,000mAh USB battery pack (with +18W charging).
