Thanks OP, had one of these on my wish list for a while. According to Keepa, this looks like the cheapest price over the last year outside of a one-day sale back in July 2024. In for one, hopefully it lives up to the hype!
Is this what all my favorite construction YouTubers have been using?
Funny you mention that, as the first time I even realized what the hell these things were was in a YouTube video a few years ago where the guy was installing flooring and he marked the door jamb with this odd (at the time) neon green pencil. The guy in video was definitely NOT promoting it, as I couldn't figure out what the hell he was using... had to go into the comments section before I saw a post where somebody finally mentioned it was a "Pica." The rest is history... I now own two (although, watch, they do like to disappear and you can't find them when you actually need them).
I am a convert to 2.0 mm pencils. Just an FYI -- if you're a woodworker, Taylor Toolworks has a nice 2mm pencil you can get free if you spend $50 (along with many other freebie options).
The linked page has 2 pics and pencils are different. Which one I am actually going to get? And the OP link is to the more expensive pencil without prime. Select a different one if you want to be safe.

The thing not explained clearly on this is why would you actually need this. The answer is this provides an accurate marking tool that comes with a cap that when turned will sharpen the point as you need it. The cap protects the point versus the traditional pencils that have their points exposed and break easily. This gives you a much thicker lead that will not break and has a sharp point to mark accurately as needed. If you wish a thicker point simply do not sharpen it. This is not a must have but rather a glad-I-have-it each time I look for my green pencil sitting high on the table. Cheap but worth it.

I was trying to find the difference between versions and it is not that trivial. I think the easiest one should be the pend length which is 141mm (5.5 inches)without the holster for a new one. Anyway the description says it should be a little smaller without the holster, but I still can't find the info for the old one.
