Yes and limit of 5. Purchased $2500 worth of GC for $2000 and also got %10 back from the cash back site. Definitely waiting for that deal during BF this year.
For a non regular traveler, maybe two or three times a year, should I just buy gift card and don't get the Southwest credit card?
I would still get the card if you can hit the minimum spend. Then let the card get to anniversary to get the anniversary points then call and cancel the card after the anniversary points drop and get a refund on the second annual fee. The points don't expire.
was it last year black friday that they had $500 gc for $400?

If buy in club does it qualify for 2% back being plus member? Was the 400 deal last year in store? I thought online only. Can only get 2% sams cash with in store or curbside pickup

Although I am not saying you didn't get a good deal. For 2 3k 4k spend you rather get a SW chase CC and reap the rewards on spend bonus churn and maybe get CP.

Just a thought IMHO
Good point. Now that we are traveling frequently on SW, we are seriously considering getting the credit card if a decent offer comes up.

Wait until there are 70-80k point deals and then dump everything on your cc and pay it off. I've flown on points no less than twice per year and even sent my parents to Hawaii on points alone (62k points combined round trip) for their anniversary.
