Looks like a pretty good deal. 250W motor is on the weak side but should be able to do light hills no problem. A killer price unless the build quality is low

Seems sketch, especially the hyper inflated msrp

Wanted to order to try, but then I checked the return policy.

In the description of the bikes they say 10 days returns, but when you check the fine print it says everything 40% off or more is final sale.

Almost all bikes on their website are more than 40% off because of the inflated MSRPs. Sketchy.

I bought the Kent Valkrye from mendham last week for $285 it was a real deal. Pedal assist not a throttle. Works great. A good deal for under $300x some bumps and scrapes from storage or shipping. Still. Under $300. A deal.

Good deal, but the battery looks like a pain to replace, and with ebikes those are the most fragile component that needs service sooner than later. There are literally millions of standard downtube mounted style ebikes used in China, buying something that could fit one of those mass produced batteries is a better idea, rather than these one-off custom proprietary designs.

That's 350W right?

Same as this one? https://kent.bike/products/27-5-k...e-e-bike-w

Is the pedal assist helpful on the hills, or does the extra weight make it worse?

250w motors are fine generally speaking. Issue is that the battery is tiny, less than 300wh and that means the Electric drivetrain isn't able to deliver consistent power for extended time.

Another big issue is lack of disc brakes.

I wouldn't pay $350 for this, but it still could be a solid enough deal for those who need an ebike to ride a few times a year

At this point would it just be easier to ride a lightweight road bike?

The Flare model is the same price and has disk breaks: https://mendhambikes.com/products...ybrid-bike

Where are they putting the batteries in these models? Are they using D cells? 😂

My area allows class 1 and class 2 up to 750w and 20mph. I can easily get up to 20mph on my non- electric bike but am passed all the time on paths throughout my town. You won't see a high school student on a regular bike these days.
