FWIW, I am a home DIY'er and have tried all of Harbor Freights bits and they are all garbage. I got a set of Dewaults from Lowe's and they blew these out of the water, and they were only like $13-15. I say this as someone who has probably $2-3000 of HF products (happily).

Can't beat 10 bucks for this drill set - such a great deal. I have a set and should prob grab another as drill bits are more of a consumable item. It's 10 bucks...less than your lunch at a local fast food joint these days.

Total trash, unless you are drilling into say cardboard. As someone mentioned, consumables from hf are usually poor quality.

I bought these bits once before while shopping in store for Mosquito Rackets (About the only thing I consistently buy at Harbor Freight). Absolutely awful bits. Very brittle and dull very quickly. I never assume Harbor Freight/Chicago Tools to be Professional Grade but these aren't worth the $10.

Agreed with the other comments. Dull very quickly. Don't even consider drilling metal.

This is why I heart this place. Some of you just saved me $10 and a trip to the store.

At the same time, for every $10 SD has saved me it has also somehow convinced me to spend that $10 (or more) on something else.

While I probably wouldn't trust these to drill anything harder than aluminum, I bet that at least half of those negative reviews are user error from people who don't know the right way to drill steel.

I generally like harbor freight stuff but from personal experience, Absolute junk at any price.

Dewalt, Bosch or Milwaukee all the way, many Black Friday deals on bits

I have these. Good for plastic, wood and aluminum. Sucks on steel.

Worst single item I have purchased from HF, they dull quickly and are brittle.
