Site is fine. I've bought many items over the years and have been happy just about every time. Only issue is it takes about 10 days to get delivered.Amazon it's not. As to this item, I have it and it's not as useful as it sounds. I bought both this and smaller containers and just don't use them like I thought I would

You should look into cupboards.

Says WS on the lid, though.

Don't care much for the lid designed. It doesn't stay ontop of the glass cylinder
But… that's literally the point.

You just get any snap ware with lock or the Rubbermaid that's glass and have seals.

Is that true? I don't think so at least... guacamole (and a lot of food) change color from oxidization and not because the container wasn't sealed.

The ideal way that i'm aware of for preventing it is to vacuum seal the container (and get the air out, not just lock air in) or cling film the surface gently.

Not a bad design, except for the fact your food is fully exposed to light. Can't think of much I'd want to spend well to keep airtight that I wouldn't also want to protect from light.
Definitely something to consider, depending on your intended placement, but I'd wager most things folks want to store in this are going in a cupboard or pantry. So it will be a non-issue for most.

i bought some, so I'm hoping it is, but I'm starting to think this is an off-brand. You notice that in some of the pictures the container has "evak" written on it. Additional in some photos the Cap does not look the same as the WS cap (pay attention to what parts are plastic versus metal on the profile view of the cap).

So they are risking being sued by using their name literally on the lid or are the pics fake?
Well, some pictures are from ws and some are not. Another user posted the amazon link to the "evak" cylinders from pepara. So the product images show two different products.

Definitely not for coffee grounds or beans with the light exposure or are they an option in a dark pantry?

It really depends on how quickly you use them. I use a clear container for short term coffee bean storage before grinding.

Personally, I don't think these are a very good price and will pay on this staff promoted "deal."

The Fellow vacuum canister is a hugely popular design and its glass. That said, I use something similar all the time since I only roast 1lb at a time.

Either way light exposure should be bottom of the list in terms of variable if you want to have good coffee beans. Even then I'd say it's minuscule if you store in cupboard.
