Multiple people reported that it sells for about $135 on aliexpress, and legit. Look for sellers with 1000+ sell record of this model and you will see their reviews. That being said, the burden is still on buyer to test the cpu. I would perform a few benchmarks and compare to its reported scores and test some game benchmarks for cpu heavy games. I would get one if I already didn't have a 5600x and the performance benefit if negligible for my use case, that is playing cs2.
I just upgraded from a ryzen 5 3600 to this cpu recently and I'm just shocked and blown away by how big a difference in made in games 𤯠and I only have an RTX 3050 so a very mediocre GPU. I play beamNG drive a lot and a lot of the multi player BeamMP and that game is very cpu threaded intensive and I went from 15-30fps on low settings 1080p to 60+ on medium to high settings, and I don't get the crazy hangs and freezes like I used to get.
In other apps like davinci resolve it definitely helped but I'm sure a 12 core 5900x would have been a better choice but it definitely made a big improvement all across the board from the 3600. Also it feels a lot snappier.
I run it with a thermalright peerless assassin cpu cooler and it's maybe 3-5 degrees hotter under full load from the ryzen 3600 but in games it's about 60c

In the case of AM4, the first processors it supported were the likes of the Ryzen 7 1800X, an eight-core, 4.0 GHz CPU that was designed to work with DDR4-2666 RAM. Four years on and that same socket could house a Ryzen 9 5950X, with 16 cores, running at 4.9 GHz and supporting DDR4-3200 or faster.
Even more than eight (!!) years after its first appearance, you could buy one of the best gaming CPUs, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, and drop it right into the socket with ease.

How is this barely faster than my way older 3800X š„“
It has low clock speeds but thanks to its gigantic L3 cache, many games get stark fps boosts and the performance may more than double. Productivity tasks may not benefit much, or get worse in other use cases.

Precisely. This cpu is definitely for gaming compared to workloads.
