Stay away from samsung appliances! Go with Bosch and you will thank me!
I went with Bosch for my dishwasher. Right after the warranty was up, it started occasionally leaking water under, causing foam disk sensor to trigger. I've had to take apart the thing no less than 10 times to dry it out.
Now the rinse aid sensor is messed up and it constantly says to add rinse aid.

Ugh, was hoping for good dishwasher deals (we need a new one badly) but I only see one.

Anyone have any thoughts on this Samsung dishwasher shown in Part 1 of the brochure? It's showing up as $850 now with a $400 discount so I'm guessing it'll be $749 when this deal goes live. Lots of wifi/smart crap that we won't use but if it's still an overall solid pick we might pull the trigger. At least 39db is crazy quiet, I guess....?

This article [247wallst.com] suggests you stay away from Samsung dishwashers.

BTW, it's an interesting read, what brands of large appliances to avoid.

Anecdotal review: I wouldn't even install a free Samsung kitchen appliance in my house. I've had to replace stove, dishwasher, microwave. Fridge is still kicking but required $700 in repairs to the ice maker and control board. These weren't entry level, either.

Anecdotes.

I've had a Samsung fridge for ~ 15 years and it came with us on a move 3 years ago. Previously had Samsung MW and DW, left them at the old house. No issues.

I still have a 15 year old Samsung clothes dryer, just had to replace the belt once. Bought a matching washing machine with it that died several years ago, the infamous galvanic issue.

Harvard is bought for and paid for by big food and big pharma and 100% false info and easily debunked with of medical studies and by doctors .There is nothing dangerous about keto and the carnivore diet . It is 100% safe and fixes insulin resistance and gets people off all meds. The key to metabolic health problems is insulin resistance and this is fixed by eating less than 30 carbs per day or less. There is no such thing as an essential carb and it's impossible for a no carb diet or low carb diet to cause type 2 diabetes . Type 2 diabetes is having too much insulin and reversed easily with diet ,fasting, exercise and eliminating all seed oils and stopping drugs that cause diabetes like statins . Carnivore diet even works for Type and 1.5 diabetes by reducing the amount of insulin needed by up to 80%.
These too are "bought and paid for by big food and big pharma"?

And you can say yes, but I would appreciate some credible sources backing your beliefs in addition to your vehemence.

I'm looking at the deal on NOv. 18 for the Roborock QX Revo Vacuum and Mop Robot with Multifunctional Dock. I'm in northern CA and currently the pricing is $649.99 on Costco.com. But with 599.99 it's only $50 off, anyone has any idea how the $150 off works?

Costco's road hazard warranty is rarely very useful unless you damage the tire when you first get it and it happens to be sale at the time.

As it says:

"This warranty provides credit based upon remaining usable tread at the time of failure due to road hazard"

And.

"Credit is determined by multiplying the usable remaining tread by the price you paid for the tire net of all discounts received."

They give you a credit based on the sale price which means they sell you a replacement tire for the the full current price minus the percentage of life from the sale price. So even you get a nail in the sidewall the day after the sale ends, they don't replace the tire. They give you a sale price credit towards the new tire.

Likewise, they also seem to find a reason to have to replace all four. So the $80 credit you get for the tire with 40% of the tread left doesn't help much when they say they have replace all 4 for $1100.

Correct, the replacement is prorated. This is common practice although I think regional chains may sell enhanced warranties. For example, Discount Tire offers "certificates" which do not prorate but they are also an additional cost per tire; usually ~ $50-$75 each. At that point you might wonder what use there could be in the certificate but that's up to you to do the cost/benefit. For example, the cost of 4 certs is going to be on the order of $200-300. That's probably around what a brand new tire would cost - so if you are in the situation where a tire can't be fixed and you would otherwise have to get a new one, then you're not really better off than if you had not paid for the extended warranty. I wouldn't suspect that the DT certificates would pay for one to get 4 new tires when one is deemed bad, so that really limits the attractiveness.

Too bad the full text isn't freely available. This was apparently a meta study; I've previously read that many of these studies don't control for weight, meaning being overweight, meat eating, and T2D seem to be correlated but the causation is unknown.

A better analysis would be to evaluate strict carnivore, keto, etc, but the issue is these types of studies need a LOT of people with STRICT controls over a LONG period of time.

Second that especially for the dishwasher. Bosch has the best value for money. Bosch washer and dryer also really good. Avoid Samsung refrigerators like the plague. Look up Samsung refrigerator facebook group if you want other opinions on their refrigerators.
Never ever again a Samsung appliance for our family.
