Also for indoors instead of x25, I would recommend X55 or something newer but again this is in no way a great upgrade over any other mesh.
I used nighthawk mesh before this and even X55 mesh was not an upgrade over older nighthawk cubes I also had bought from Costco.
Deco does not have usable web interface so you have to use the app for basic tasks and the options it gives you are very limited it nags people to buy additional services and the weekly reports and other details are not usable at all. No advance user should consider these unless they revamp their app to give more functionality.
I have 2 of the nodes wired and still this could not cover 2500sqft area even without brick walls. It's just normal American sheetrock. I laugh at the claims of over 5000sqft. Perhaps it's tested in a huge empty warehouse.
I had to buy ceiling POE access point, even than coverage is nowhere near what you would expect.

Correction, outdoor x50 not X25 so that's a good deal.
Indoor X25 will it be a big upgrade over most routers.
which is POE and has waterproofing
the X25s included in this pack are for indoor.

I'm waiting for the TP-Link Deco AXE5300 6E system to go on sale. I purchased it at the regular price ($250) after realizing that the internet drop out issues I've been having wasn't with the fiber optic system but was due to the Linksys Velop WiFi 7 mesh. Zero issues since I switched to TP-Link Deco AXE5300.
You seem to have advanced knowledge since you setup Linux and x60 is probably better as well.
