When you've been stealing IP for the last 30+ years, it's not hard to make 'advances' without having to invest the time and money the actual companies (American and otherwise) doing the actual innovating.

Yep, but now they are the ones outpacing the USA, just is what it is, no matter how they got there.

im thinking of ordering one of those brands from ali but i think bt is more expensive than half the price.
The XPPEN on amazon is $43 after coupon code. Similar size 10x6.

https://www.amazon.com/10x6-25-Gr...=8-24&th=1

7X4 medium size $32

https://www.amazon.com/10x6-25-Gr...=8-24&th=1

Not familar with this brand but 10x6 for around $32 after 12% off.

https://www.amazon.com/VEIKK-Grap...94&sr=8-21

Huion 10x6 for around $45 after coupon code.

https://www.amazon.com/HUION-Insp...hdGY&psc=1

So plenty of options on Amazon dont even need ali unless you trying to save a little more money.

Yep, people still instantly associate China with junk that will break quickly, when in reality they have vastly outpaced the USA in many sectors including technology. Quick example electric cars, Ford CEO was scared to death how advanced and far ahead the Chinese cars and how little they cost, quickly seeing that Ford could never compete with them if they were not protected by tariffs.
Tesla transferred technology as an agreement on selling and opening the manufacturer in China!!! Battery fires are still going on that damage the reputation of Chinese electric cars, even Mercedes brands!!!

Am I still at Slickdeals
I just want a writing tablet to play with... Anyone has experience with these? Any quirks I should know about? Thanks in advance
Wacom Intuos Pro is the industry standard and is used by the studios worldwide for more than 30 years. This non-Pro Intuos has a lower pressure sensitivity level (4096, actually already higher than Wacom's pro-grade drawing tablets from 10 years ago) and it lacks tilt sensitivity but it's sufficient for hobbyist digital artist and is definitely more than enough for writing purposes.
As for quirks, drawing on the tablet while looking at the screen may take a while to get used to and it was a little difficult for me to coordinate when I first started using it. Another option is to use Wacom Cintiq, which lets you draw directly on the screen. It's obviously more expensive and some people don't like the feel of drawing on glass.
