That 2 for 200ish seems price error. My non prime account has 199 each. While the prime account has 299 but with 400-200 coupon.

Have like 3 or 4 batteries since 17, until i moved up north and bought me a snow mower so have loke 5 or 6 since 19' no issues. Havent notcied much degradation

Looks like I'm trying the utility light thing that is the other product you can add to cart to get the $200 off. Still not a bad price for the battery kit ($174 after cart discount). And why should my DeWalt lights have all the fun during blackouts?

I also like the fact that this includes slow chargers. I've stopped using my really good charger - talking to the battery guy at my company - he said to use a slower charger, and remove the battery before it is full. I will subscribe to the philosophy that I use for my cell phone - keep between 20-80%. Stop using at 20%, and don't charge to 100%.
The Rapid charger ventilates the battery and keeps it cool, so it's not an issue and I confirmed this with Ego. As to 20/80% that is probably not a bad idea but the killer (I have read) is that when the device flashes low battery, immediately switch it out. Don't wait till it dies. Also and this goes without saying keep your batteries inside at ambient temperature if possible when not using them. Lithium tech loves 20c. I have also read that after expending them let them cool for at least 30 min (heat kills is the theme). Not sure this is necessary but certainly if you can probably good practice.

Low SOC is far worse than full cycling. Also they say don't store them fully charged but at least with mine after some period (maybe a month) they self discharge to 70% or so which is a good deal (IMO). Lastly, don't leave your battery in the charger for extended period and store them outside your tool.

This is not unique to Ego, but for Ego specifically I have read that running them until tool fail is BAD. I have not had one die yet, crossing fingers...some coming up on 6 years old.

must have ordered right before they switched the pricing. hope it ships. had $40 off amazon. so 2 batteries and 2 chargers for $188 and change is not bad.
