8GB of RAM seems pretty low. Can you add more?

I dont know if they are doing it yet, but last year around this time I got my M1 Pro MacBook 16 inch 16/512 for 1k from micro center certified refurbished from apple.

it seems to be around the time this should go live. (that said) I bought that m2 MacBook and this M1 Pro MacBook 16, and I returned the m2 13 inch air, it was a beautiful device and such, but since m1 deal came out, was hard to not get it instead.

I had the 12 inch MacBook, then 13 inch m1 MacBook, and bought the m2 MacBook, all are great honestly. but the M1 Pro 512 16gb is fricekn awesome.

Interesting. If you have the M1 air, is this a worthwhile upgrade? I'm thinking not since for daily tasks one would probably not notice the difference. Thanks for any feedback.

nope dont upgrade! M2 is slight increase in performance. And I remember that SSD on this M2 air is slower than the SSD on M1 air

I don't think so. I have both, and find myself using the M1 Air still while my M2 collects dust. As long as your M1's battery is still working properly, not worth the upgrade IMO.

Thanks. Yep that's kinda what I thought. With the M4 versions coming out seemingly soon, I guess they might be trying to dump inventory.

Thanks. What makes you use the M1 over the M2? Just curious
