Apple's VP of marketing posted to X that they're going to have a week of announcements next week, most likely focused on Macs. I'd wait to see what they announce before buying a Mac.

Yes and no. The Apple Silicon OS is so optimized for Apple hardware that 8gb RAM on an Apple performs like 16gb on a Windows Pc (for the most part). You may notice slower performance with certain apps like if you have a ton of open Chrome tabs, but it's generally impressive how fast and zippy it still is with seemingly outdated specs .
