I would tend to agree but…it's a quality thing. And Patagonia stuff is as good as it gets

I have the one in Endless Blue.

Zero complaints about quality or fit but it just doesn't look very good and basically matches no pants except for maybe beige?

It's kind of new to the past 20 years, but most retailers (including the two linked directly from here) have reviews from customers on the product listing.

You consider the Outdoor Afro REI deal for $20, but consider this: Patagonia's costs, even with their eco-friendly practices, are likely in the $15-$20 range. Their markup to $200 retail is essentially a luxury tax. So, for those saying you're not contributing to inflation... what world are you living in?"

So basically 20 dollar material + 180 dollar branding fee

For the price theyre charging and the cheap materials this is made out of you would think it would be made in America and not by laborers overseas being paid very little

Nothing really, just a brand name fee.

There's a lot of quality $20-$60 hoodies as well. Even some name brands. Patagonia is nice stuff, but way overpriced.
