I've had decent luck with the Genie I bought a couple of years ago. I wish this had a track pad but you can always add one if you really needed it in the future.

I got the same opener but 3/4hp, I paired it with a couple of new springs on my 185lb 8' door (insulated). Seems to work okay and it does adjust itself in terms of force to open or close, just read the instructions. Only thing I had to adjust was the open/close limits.
