Wish id have picked one of these up a couple weeks back when some open box were available for a good price. Ive been following the Go over on Reddit and people are very happy with it reporting that it has improved a ton since release.

Really good deal for new. I got a refurb 512GB that I swapped a 2TB HDD for (extra $145). So I got a used 2TB for around $620. If you don't need the extra space and want new, this is a solid deal. I really enjoy mine. No regrets

FYI I made a post about this a couple days ago. It's better to get it on Lenovo website. They have 30 day price protection. You can also contact their support and ask for a price quote. That quote will last 10 days after they give it to you. So I'm basically holding onto that quote until November 2nd. Then I'll use it and be protected from BF and Cyber Monday deals.

Ouch. That's worse than the Sega Game Gear… I remember it feeling a bit too short and this being shorter is going to suck

Portable power bank helps a lot. I also use mine for GeForce now (streaming) a lot, so much easier on the battery. Running in balanced mode at 1080p or even 720p for non-aaa games stretches it a ton too.

Have both this and a steam deck, and I use this for Xbox game pass (mostly indie games) and GeForce now almost exclusively, neither of which SD can do. For my use it's phenomenal. Can play the occasional aaa game and just tether to a power bank for a flight.

It's not worth the price difference. You can buy an open box Ally for under $300 at Best Buy. The original Ally had a micro-sd-card-slot issue where the slot eventually stopped working. You can assume any open box Ally to have a busted micro-sd slot, but it's functionally within 5% of the same performance as the Ally-X in most games and has almost entirely the same hardware sans the larger battery and updated controller grips, oh and the X has 8GB more RAM, but the original Ally has the same amount of RAM as the Legion Go.

That's not a bad idea with BF rolling around the corner, they might also do things like military, student, etc discounts through Lenovo direct.

You haven't lived until you ran the Game Gear and TV tuner. Your parents better have owned stock in a AA battery company!

I loved this setup...it was like magic to me I could play a game or watch TV anywhere. And honestly it got really good reception. Terrible battery life...but good reception Wink
