The monitor becomes unresponsive and have to unplug it from the wall if it's disconnected from the laptop for a few hours. It's like the screen refuses to turn on. The power/setting buttons are completely unresponsive.
The 1000R curvature is a bit too much for work IMHO, but this is very subjective. The image quality doesn't seem great (black levels, colors, backlight). The backlight bleed is very noticeable if you look at it from an angle. I had a pretty old VA monitor that had better IQ and deeper blacks, and none of the issues this monitor has. I was thinking this is an upgrade over the old one, but I was wrong. The only thing this Samsung handles better than the old monitor is ghosting.
