Most of the tech/computer items in Staples are super over priced.

The only thing that I would buy from staples.com is the $100 PNY DDR5 2x16GB RAM sticks.

This deal is like buying AA/AAA batteries and get free 32GB of DDR5-6000 RAM sticks.

Does batteries include power banks?

Also same Duracell battery & pack size on Staples is $26.59 vs $15.72 on Amazon.
I pass - not worth the deal.
1) not power banks.
2) I covered this not 10 minutes before you posted...https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=173536986&postcount=10&peid=d613e0c3-37e2-46bb-ae0e-e7cebd35ae93

Since Staples price matches in-store, I assume I can find the best online price and get 100% back in points on that lower price. Is there anything against that?
You might find a Staples employee that's willing to price match the batteries you buy in store, but it's much more likely that you'll be denied, stating that the 100% offer can't be combined with a pricematch. Whether correct or incorrect, that's what seems to happen most of the time.

Oh, also: the 8 packs of AA (and AAA) Energizer batteries are $29.99 each. And the two $10 off $30 coupons that get generated when you recycle a battery can't be combined in one purchase, I found out. Since the battery purchase has do be done in 1 transaction, you're limited to using one coupon. FYI, in case anyone cares.

I wonder if Staples has learned its marketing techniques from Kohls!
At least the rewards do not expire unlike Kohls where it expires before you receive the product!

That is not their policy. So you might find a mean employee that wrongly attempts to deny it to you.
You do need to be aware that the rewards will only equal what you pay OOP before tax and after all discounts/coupons/rewards that you apply.

P.S. I just now read they put a stipulation that the rewards earned will also be rounded down to the nearest dollar. So you will also lose up to $0.99 worth of rewards depending on the amount you pay after the decimal point. They typically have things end in .99 so this will be like paying a dollar not getting 100% back.

Office Depot does not round rewards down or up.

You're probably correct about combining the 100% and pricematching. However, over the years, I've gotten tired of fighting for that extra bit of a deal, and have grown to appreciate the Staples employees I've gotten to know. It seems like they get graded by harsher and more strict procedures and guidelines over the years (make sure you checkout with your Rewards account every time you purchase something! I'm sure you all do that, but just in case...) They've bent over backwards for me when things got unintentionally complicated, so I try to look out for them, and not twist their arm in a deal that they'll get in trouble for, later.

So in my case: I purchased 4x $29.99 Energizer Lithium packs (yes, retail price!), used a $10 off $30 coupon, noted that the second $10 off $30 coupon (with a completely different 5-digit prefix code) got rejected, and paid $109.96+tax. So I paid (assuming that I'll use the $100 in points efficiently) $9.96, but I'm ok with that.

In my 30+ years of experience, on occasion I find an employee that would do the 100% and the pricematching, but they tend not to last very long, for various reasons. Yes, I realize a retail job like this doesn't attract very many stable, 10, 20, 30 year employees, but I'd like to make sure I don't inadvertently cut short a promising employee. FYI, for whatever it's worth.

Why would you buy an 8 pack of Energizer for $29.99 when you can get the 24 pack of Duracell for $22.99?

Price matched five 24 packs to Amazon, applied the $10 off $30 coupon and paid with discounted gift cards I had purchased at 20% off face value. Points posted by the time I got to my car. Not a bad deal for the batteries.

Duracell is regular, not lithium.

One should also never use Duracell, they leak all the time and ruins the device. If one insists on getting Duracell, then better off doing it Office Depot when they offer 100% rewards as that purchase will count towards ink recylcing.
