It doesn't mean the CPU is unusable or will die in 3 years with the "fix" but I would treat these CPUs as disposable. I have a 10 year old desktop that still works. Don't expect that from Intel 13th and 14th gen.
Those who purchase this machine should update the BIOS as soon as possible. Version 1.03 (and newer) includes a fix for the voltage issues that cause self-destruction of Intel 14th-Gen i7 and i9 processors.
Look in the BIOS/Firmware section of the model's support page:
