You should know by now that most opinions on SD are not from direct experience.

Even if it were true, so what, it's from costco... just return it.
Callaway Edge is from a top golf brand everything you need, but doesn't include a bag which you will obviously need.

Stix is from a small direct to consumer brand that from the reviews I've seen are pretty good for the price and it includes a bag.

The Callaway Edge is great for the price but if you're just starting out and just want something to purchase and not have to worry about getting anything else, the Stix should be more than fine.
Too bad they won't bring back the Kirkland irons because of the Taylormade lawsuit

I bought Callaway Edge last year... has worked great... perhaps a bit more expensive.

Is Stix like callaway strata?

Been using the Callaway Edge set for about 2-3 years now and its been great. I play pretty casually and its been able to hold up with all my swings into the ground. I've just added the Kirkland Wedge set to the Edge which has been amazing.

Did yours break? Any reviews to back your claim?

For those hating there's literally no loss you can return them whenever you want even if they break. Beauty of a Costco return.

I have the 2nd gen (I think these are the 3rd gen). I've had 2 snap on me, a 7-iron and an 8-iron. I flushed both shots when they unexpectedly sent the head flying. These were the graphite shafts and was a common problem early on. On the contrary performance wise they're a very good beginner set. Extremely easy to hit, extremely forgiving, and stupid long (28 degree 7-iron).

They look/feel more premium than the callaway edge set. I purchased direct through the stix website and the customer service was very accommodating, replacing one of the clubs outside of the 1-year warranty at no charge. The bag is really nice too. Driver and fairway woods perform well, but don't produce a desirable sound. You get way more than you pay for with the putter, it is excellent.

Definitely worth it at this price point if you're just getting into golf.

find a driving range, some courses will have a driving range and a chipping/putting area. Once you kinda get a hang of things, find a beginners par 3 course and just go out there. There's a lot of public courses with a wide variety of skill levels, don't be afraid to get out there.
Just know course etiquette is to let faster players pass through

A) hunt for clubs people give away free / dirt cheap on Facebook marketplace

B) hit the range a few times

C) ask around your friend/family circle to tag along when they play. Most everyone will teach you golf etiquette, pace of play etc. this way you'll also have zero pressure to perform and just get the feel of the game

D) buy or ask someone for a bag of crap balls. This way when you shank them into the woods you don't even need to bother looking for it haha

I would only add that you should get a few lessons as well. That way you can learn what you need to do to swing correctly. It makes a huge difference
