Long story short, if 7" is enough for you and price doesn't matter - Ally X all the way. Price / performance wise, LeGo is a better deal if you are fine with 1-2 hr battery life on AAA games (or adding a power bank in your carry bag), controllers are detachable and if you ever break them, it's easy to replace vs having to open up the system on X.

That being said - if you have good internet and are mostly playing at home then streaming is the best option. I have a steam deck too, but I prefer to stream to my Iphone 15 pro max + gamesir G8 controller. You can pick up a really nice handheld (like a cheap anbernic) and use moonlight to play all your games at high settings. Just pick the best size and form factor for you. I considered selling my steam deck for a G-Cloud for this reason (better screen + lighter). The 15 pro max is great though.
If you are playing demanding games often then battery will drain very fast when playing locally on the handheld. Streaming to any device uses minimal battery life.
Sunshine/moonlight has worked best for me. My PC is in the basement storage room and I stream 90% of the time to either my phone, xbox, or laptop.
