Nice deal for those that need a starter tool set with toolbox. The toolbox alone is on sale at Lowes now for $50: https://www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMA...001107526?

Is this metric? If SAE it's worthless? No cars since 1983 use SAE all metric now.

Who said it's only for cars? There're lots of things out there that need fixing which were built with SAE.

Thanks for pointing that out. I was about to pull the trigger as a start on a set for myself, but I wanted metric. Interesting it is marketed as a "Mechanic Tool Set" set, but has SAE.

In the reviews there is an image showing it has both metric and SAE sockets

Reminds me of SNL skit, everyone uses Metric but we wanna be special so we use SAE.

I bought this a few weeks ago. I wanted a portable toolbox with 2-3 drawers and figured it would be nice to have some matching stuff, and give some of my old mismatched stuff to my friend's teenager who is learning to work on cars. I took the SAE junk out and threw it in a drawer in my garage and will probably never touch it again. The rest of it is okay though, and I like the box, which almost covers the cost on its own.

The box has enough room for most of what I use regularly and what I need to have mobile. Plenty of space for the included tools plus some wrenches, a hammer, pliers, gloves, safety glasses, more sockets, etc., especially if you get rid of the flimsy plastic organizer trays (I use socket rails). No, this not "your father's Craftsman," and you can easily find nicer tools, but it's a pretty good deal, in my book. Found it in stock at a local Ace for the same price.
