Newegg is running a flash sale for 15% off 4 or more components. This example uses a cheap SATA drive and two filler items to activate the discount on a high value graphics card. In order to activate the discount, you must add the items with the PC builder.

You can use this list to add the required items to cart. Open the list, click Edit This List, and then Add All to Cart.

ASRock RX 7900 XTX + 256GB SATA SSD ($780) [newegg.io]: https://newegg.io/76caf7e

If this link ever fails, here are the manual steps to recreate the discount:
  1. Open the PC builder and click Add New List: https://www.newegg.com/tools/custom-pc-builder
  2. Disable the Compatibility Checker.
  3. Add the following items:
    • Video Card: ASRock RX7900XTX PG 24GO RX 7900 XTX ($869.99)
    • Power Supply: HP Poly Power Supply 5V ($9.99)
    • Storage (SSD): Team Group T-FORCE VULCAN Z T253TZ256G0C101 ($18.99 - $4 promo code)
    • CPU Cooler (Fan & Heatsink): Enermax Anti-Bending CPU Corrective Frame ($8.99)
The listed total will be $767.77 but does not reflect shipping. The total at checkout will be $779.80.

You can also maximize the PC builder discount with stacked combo discounts and fewer or no filler items. Here are four examples:I don't intend to post the other lists as separate deals. You may post the lists or simply use them for inspiration.

Here are some tips for using the builder:
  1. The PC builder discount requires at least four eligible items. There are fillers that can be used to brute force the PC builder discount or high value items. However, they will eat into potential savings. Monitors and peripherals don't activate the discount but may have combo up savings that can be activated.
  2. Combo up savings that stack with the PC builder discount. Some combo up savings only work with specific items. These are defined as combo deals.
  3. Not all items are eligible for the PC builder discount. Most GPUs are excluded. There are no eligible 4080s or 4090s. Eligible items will read Combo for an additional 15% off.
  4. You can save a maximum of $200 which is obtained with a $1,333 purchase.
I advise using the following settings to browse components:
  • Compatibility Checker: Off. This setting doesn't work properly at the moment.
  • Sold By Newegg: On. The PC builder discount only applies to hardware sold by Newegg.
  • Combo Up Savings: On then Off. The best deals will stack combo up savings and the PC builder discount. However, there are competitively priced components that don't have combo up savings.
Unfortunately, there's no option to filter only items that are eligible for the PC builder discount. The PC builder also won't show if an item has shipping costs.

Maybe they like the Power Color 7900 XT at a lower price?

The whole process for the discount is a little tedious when the Sapphire 7900 XTX for $747 used Affirm and the XFX 7900 XTX for $789 was an Amazon sale. This also isn't a price that beats either deal. People want and probably expect prices to drop even further.

Unfortunately, most graphics cards are ineligible for the PC builder discount, but you can replace the ASRock 7900 XTX for $780 with an ASRock 7900 XT for $575 or a Gigabyte 4070 Ti Super for $712.

Compare a 4070 vs 7900 on AI workload using 12GB or 16GB vram, which one works better? I wish to get a 32GB vram one for AI.
It'll cost more than this bundle when/if it does release.

AMD is an exercise in frustration with most AI software. You also can't do much with 12GB of VRAM. You want an NVIDIA GPU with at least 16GB of VRAM.

The best value option is an RTX 4060 Ti 16GB. You can buy an open box card from Zotac [zotacstore.com] for $324. Use the code ZTUDISCORD2024 for an additional 10% off.

The next best option is a secondhand RTX 3090 24GB. You might have to hunt around to find one for a decent price. I wouldn't pay more than $650.

The third best option is an RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB. You should be able to find one for $700 or so with discounts.

Only one year warranty for the GPUs above $400 is insane. Hard pass.

So annoying this and 4070 super ti are dropping in price - tempted as hell but I know the wait for the 5000 series will be worth it (these will drop even more or the 5080 will be worth the high price)

Yes. The flash sale has ended. They'll probably run it again soon though.

It's ended and the combo just gives $10 off not 10%. Huge difference so pay attention folks.
