Current situation: I am on a T-mo SC-NA grandfathered plan with 12 lines + T-mo HI 5G line. T-mo does not have any promos for device upgrade unless I move to the Go5G plan (way more expensive) than the monthly price I pay for the lines. Current monthly cost ~$256. No EIP, all devices paid for.

Happened to walk by Costco AT&T booth here in the Bay Area and they seem to be wooing T-mo customers with a too good to be true offer... Here's the deal...

1. Tradein my all my devices iPhone 12, 12 pros, 12 mini, 13 pro max, 14, 14 pro maxs, 15, Pixel 8, Samsung A32s and all devices will be upgraded to 16 pros, 16 pro maxs, pixel pro and A32s to Samsung S24 FEs.
2. $100 Costco GC for each line I bring over from T-mo ($1200)
3. $200 Costco GC for AT&T fiber internet connection

Monthly AT&T cost (all in) is $313 for all lines and AT&T 300/300 fiber connection. Once devices are paid for (3 yrs), monthly cost will be $309. For $60/ month more, it seems like a deal worth jumping into. See screenshot attached. Thoughts?

MVNO's got better but 10 years ago they were atrocious..even now they get deprioritized if Tmobile ( mint usese their network) customers need the bandwidth

It's good alternative if you dont travel internationally and if you are in a good coverage area . Might not work for everyone. I'm glad more and more are happy with MVNO's and hopefully it forces the big 3 to offer better service and lower the cost.

im not really a power user, all I do is browse internet, and pandora and text/phone calls. so its never been a big deal. before this I had a 25% account discount on att, I had a discount fan code that was posted here, lol it was 7th adventist church fan code., which years later they got rid of, but my account had it. but MVNO was half the price, so I dumped them. never went back.

you can do the same deal online using your Costco account and skip the Costco in warehouse sale ppl...
Do it yourself and last page tells you what you get

Did 2 in store and 2 online..traded 4 x iphone 12 from Metro

In store they tried to sell me the more expensive phone but i always look over their shoulders and i corrected the order. Online was straight forward . Was charged tax upfront on full value each time. Sent trade in by mail without pics..All 4 trades were correctly validated and added to my account. got $400 in Costco GC, $200 in extra bill credits by doing costco deal..this should offset the tax and what i paid for the 4 brand new iphone 12 i traded. All in all I ended up with 4 x IP 16 for absolutely free
$200 extra bill credit are prorated is that 5.55 per month for each line? I don't see that displayed when i try to order. Did you get that in the first month bill?

Currently Costco AT&T in store is offering a better deal than online. I compared 2 different in store kiosk's prices to confirm what it would cost for 4 phones/lines and am way ahead with the $100 GC and $250 per line from transferring from T-Mobile. Also checked coverage in my area and AT&T compares with T-Mobile and Verizon plus I upgrade mostly older phones.

You can almost be certain you are missing 50% of costs. You have no idea the stupid fees att charges.

What exactly is the promotion? I've seen $100 Costco GC with $250 in billing credits per line.
