my local Popeyes is a complete clown show. The people working there act like they are court ordered to work there. I give them a chance every so often and they always disappoint. From undercooked cold chicken pieces, which I have never received after decades of eating out elsewhere, to just absolutely horrendous service. I sat and watched the lady, with face tattoos, struggling for about 5 minutes looking at my receipt and then going back and forth between the bag and the receipt as if she couldn't comprehend what item off the hot tray she was supposed to put in the bag. All my damn food was right there. All she had to do was bag it. I swear she was high as F

OMG!!! yes I agree. The one by my house and the one by my work. Both of them sucks. raw chicken every other time and shitty quality food. Bring back the old popeyes pls

Sad to hear about peoples bad experiences. I need Popeyes to continue to do well, because their spicy chicken sandwich is honestly my gold standard for chicken sandwiches!I really think it's the best thing I can get in a drive thru!

My only request would be if their Ghost Pepper sandwich was just renamed their "spicy chicken sandwich", because it's the level of spice a regular spicy chicken sandwich should be.

Completely variable and YMMV, but if you guys have Uber Eats (no uber one needed, I don't have it), there's a reusable coupon for Popeye's Chicken sandwiches, including regular, spicy, and ghost pepper. It's BOGO, so even with the Uber Eats upcharge of $6 a sandwich, the BOGO makes it $3 each which is pretty good. You can do pick up too. Hope it works for you guys.

If the Big Box is available in your area it's easily the best thing you can order atm. 2 pieces/3 tenders, 2 sides and a biscuit for $6 is a crazy good deal. i may or may not be on a first name basis with the employees based on how many times i've ordered it the past two weeks.

I have to agree with this experience! A new Popeye just opened for about 3 months and ran out of chicken (this is recent) and sides. Only the sandwiches were available. This was in the middle of a work day! On some nights they closed their drive thru because they don't have enough workers. If they do have workers, they treat you like you're a beggar when ordering food. Food would randomly be cold, hot, or just mushy depending on the day's lottery. So disappointed in their services and this one is located in a nice neighborhood too. Get it together!

Unsure if this has happened to anyone but asking for a cup of water leads to "water is free but you gotta pay $2.6x for the cup".

The only reason for tolerating Popeyes is their spicy chicken sandwich.

The only problem with Popeye's food is that you have to go to Popeye's to get it.

Tried to order this about a week or so ago because there was a big banner on the window. "App only" and the people standing around looked like they had been waiting a while. We just went somewhere else. I give them a shot every six months or so, the stories I could tell.

If you can't make it to Popeyes, the BK deluxe chicken sandwich is essentially the same.. not exactly, but a very close 2nd. Both chains are owned by the same parent company.

You may have something there. All the BKs around here are just awful except for one tiny corner operation that seems overwhelming run by Chinese. Whoppers there are awesome.
