Junk stuff
Remember that these are the PRE-Black Friday ("Event One") deals listed, and no one has yet announced the actual Black Friday ("Event Two") and Cyber Monday ("Event Three"). The thread should make that clearer.

"Deals" lol. The sad part is there are enough idiots in this country that will buy this up and confirm to corporate America that they can continue to give us garbage pricing on garbage items and expect us to like it

Every year the Walmart Black Friday ad gets posted and every year the majority of the comments are "total crap" and "I'll be sleeping in now" and every year Walmart posts record Black Friday sales

Was really expecting a 75 inch TV at $399 this year as they are recently $450-$500 at Best Buy. Oh well...

Given how many families are currently stretched financially, this doesn't surprise me. If I saw this in 2012-2019 BF sales, I'd prob scratch my head
I for one DEFINITELY am not better off than I was 4 years ago.

Anyone know the specs on the MBP?
ManBearPig is known to be a humanoid creature with hooves, claws, fur growing all over his body, pig-like ears and snout.

In the flesh, he is portrayed as a hulking chimera whose face is that of a pig on one side and that of a bear on the other. His body is partly covered in hair and has some human features on his torso. He has human-like legs and pig-like feet. The left side of his face is usually covered in blood, but appears to have human-like flesh beneath it.

This is true. It's called FOMO. People are programmed to spend spend spend during this season and the machine is very effective.

I like how someone gave you a thumbs down as if families AREN'T stretched financially.
It really depends. Stock market and real estate are at all time highs. If you have any of those assets, you are definitely not hurting.

iphone 13's used are around $330.. so $200 and a month of service as long as you get put on straight talk verizon network for the 60 day unlock sounds pretty good..

is this what some folks have done in the past?

Real estate doesn't help you if you own one home, aren't selling, and have nowhere else to go. Insurance and taxes have skyrocketed for most homeowners.

To be fair that just not common elsewhere. Retailers require employees to work at certain day of the year. Otherwise the employees get points or fired. Nobody wants that.

Plus, There always somebody who needs a job to get thru tough times even at McDonald's. It is now not uncommon to have three jobs.

Lastly, Walmart for example is closed on thanks giving and Christmas. That' wasn't the case in the past specifically for thanks giving day
Except the people doing phone activations don't work for Walmart. They work for a company that Walmart outsources to. Therefore, they don't even have to answer to the Walmart store manager. I asked the store manager to contact them and the manager doesn't even know their phone numbers. Also, the days I was talking about were the Friday after Thanksgiving and the following weekend. I'm not sure what Walmart being closing on Thanksgiving Day has to do with what I said. Sounds like you've had a much better experience than me but personally I've had a terrible experience in the past with these Walmart phone deals.

You'll probably be looking at some TCL branded TVs.
