100% agree, I ruined mine cutting something I shouldn't have but I will still by another one because it worked so well otherwise.

My brain evolved when I first used this dirt cheap wire stripper from harbor freights. I don't want to go back to using traditional wire strippers (like the one in this thread) after using it:

Might not be great for every wire size. I've used it for normal in-house electrical projects.

I've had the 'high leverage' 9" version of this for a while. Nice fit/finish, really smooth hinge, good ergonomics, and quality/longevity wise, they're definitely a cut above your el-cheapo standard stamped metal strippers and cut/strip way better.

I'd say the only thing better out there is Knipex' forged 13-72-8 strippers, but they're also like 4x the price of this. Despite preferring those, I still keep the 9" milwaukees around because they have a crimp function too (these smaller ones don't, FWIW).

the wire cutters part are softer than dog poop. should only be used to cut romex shield.

I rarely use these for my strippers, great for flexing stubborn wire into tight boxes

I love these but the metal that they are made of is pretty soft. i ruined 2 pair cutting things that my other cutters make look easy. if you get thjem you will love them , just cut smaller copper wire they are made for and you will be fine.

Ditto I didn't know any better. Mine were Kleins and now they won't stay closed. Still useable but annoying.

Maybe I'll pick these up as a replacement.

100% agree with this. As a commercial/industrial electrician I've had the smaller set for a few years and recently switched to the big boys. I don't think I'll ever go back. Hoping the cutting edge stays sharp longer than the smaller set though. Also, the reaming feature is kind of useless as these aren't what I'd reach for when I'm bending and cutting pipe, but that's a small gripe. $15 is a decent price for this smaller set though, and much more value than any of the cheaper versions from any manufacturer. I just wish it was made in the US.
