So I know the older model Duet 3 is out there for less, but this was the first time I saw the NEW model with the kompanio 838 rather than the old snapdragon cpu.
this only has the 4gb, and while I was going to hold out for the 8gb model, I thought I'd take a chance on the 4gb. This skew also has no Pen with it at BB, so factor that in as you wish.
so far, I'm reasonably pleased with this 4gb model, but I still may upgrade to the 8gb once it goes on sale for anything near $300.
I was surprised to see this new model go on sale so soon. Probably because they want to flush out the 4gb versions asap (?).
the price on this 4gb was too good for me to pass up on the new model. I suspect for most casual users, the 4gb model will suffice.
size and build quality are great - as expected.
don't forget to use Paypay for another 5% CB for some Chase CC users (YMMV on this one, but I get it)

BUT the 4GB RAM of this is really limiting, espcially if we are talking about a new laptop/CB
I would still go for the cheaper and older model simply because of the 8GB RAM offered.
The 4gb RAM is giving me pause though.
I wish there was a review that compared the 8gb Snapdragon with the 4gb Kompanio.
I am also tempted to just get the refurbished HP X2 Chromebook with the snapdragon for $180. https://www.amazon.com/HP-Chromeb...B0B2B
I like the screen aspect ratio and the fingerprint reader, but 64gb is so stingy.
Price is fair but I doubt if this is a better option than the old 8+128GB. Given that black friday is near, I expect either new 8GB on sale (~$300) or even better deal for old 8GB version (near $200?).
