Decent deal on tool and battery. Note this isn't brushless, but good enough for occasional use.

Is this good for about 10 tire changes each year? How is it compared to the brushless and semi-compact version? Based on past Black Friday, do these power tools go on sale?
The same kit costs $288 in Canada so I need to make a trip down to pick it up.

Looks like it has hit $129 a few times and generated little interest here. I saw a youtube comparison for impact wrenches and the 18v Ridgid was adequate for lug nuts.

$159 last year during BF but they didn't sell well so they dropped them to $129. Saw it as cheap as $109 on the clearance rack

The TTC tested R86212 and it's overkill. Get that if it goes on sale

If corded is not a deal-breaker for you, I can't recommend, enough, the plug in Bauer impact wrench from Harbor Freight. It's bulkier, but I've been able to use it on suspension work and it really came in handy to replace the anode rod on my water heater. Made quick work of the bolt! Got it for 50% off @ $40. Insane break-away torque and fastening, especially for the money. There's an identical one on Amazon, too

I do my own maintenance on 3 cars and have had this for a few years and it's way more than enough for car stuff but it's annoyingly bulky if you need to use it for suspension or anything outside of just taking lug nuts off. If I were to get something today I think i'd rather go with the Hercules 3/8. It's rated 2.5x the power and is a lot lighter and compact. With the sales going on right now it should be a similar price after you buy a battery and charger.
