This tv is utter CRAP. Colors are super washed out when viewed from any off center angle and to some extent when viewed from directly. None of the adjustments helped improve color. By the time football season came around I noticed that the grass color was a pale lime green with white tones in between as though the tv needed to be treated with iron, nitrogen, milorganite AND ironite. I purchased the 43" and returned it. Due to all the hype from reviews I then purchased the 55", same results. Also the audio goes out from time to time and I have to unplug to reset. I'm currently using a 32" $99 5year old Spectra (excellent picture in comparison) til BF deals start dropping. So so disappointed in these tv's and equally astonished by all the positive reviews. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Had this one in garage, picture is mediocre, rarely use this TV.
IF you wants a main TV and watch daily, buy different brand.

F* this brand. Their stuff lacks reliability. I've had 3 of their products (portable ac, 2 tv's) go out on me shortly after the warranty expired. I know several folks who have had the same shitty experience mainly with their tv's.

Saw something similar at my Costco over the weekend. A Samsung 65" was $30 cheaper than the BF price in the flyer. No brainer to pick it up for my folks rather than waiting.
Which Samsung model?

Rting did a series a tests and come to the conclusion edge lid LED and super thin TVs are prone to premature failure. This TV looks pretty thick, so it should be fine.

the tcl and hisense tvs that will be on sale don't appear to be that great. This one received a 6.9 on rtings.
Has anyone used the extended warranty? Is it easy to use. I'm wondering if I should buy a tv from costco because of that, especially when it's for these budget tvs, or just go for better tvs on sale elsewhere.

Gotta love the people paying a couple hundred for a TV expecting a $2k tv.

If you're buying this TV, it's because you're on a budget or buying it for casual viewing.

I wouldn't put this in a main TV expecting amazing quality.

readjust your expectations.

it's a TV that will work for 5+ years, is affordable, nice size, and has decent features.

You usually get what you pay for. Don't try to impulse buy. Set a budget including tax, installation (if necessary) and warranty (if desired; especially suggested for piece of mind) and then do your homework so if what you want falls within that layer, you pull the trigger. Realize tomorrow could always be a better deal in today's world so just don't kick yourself if a better deal arrives tomorrow.

People aren't expecting a $2k tv for a couple hundred. What we're expecting is that at the very least the colors are somewhat close to being true at also that a performs better than a $99 tv and not vice versa. Also, your $2k tv's end up costing a couple hundred dollars down the road anyway, should we expect less from them at that price point?

I wonder what's the deal with low end qled tv's. I recall 2 years ago, I brought a cheap $200 55" TCL from BB, when I play any 4k content, the content display is all garbage. The only thing good about this hisense tv is that it is a fire tv so hopefully you will get updates often unlike google tv.

The only way I'd buy a Hisense is if it has a good extended warranty.

I have Hisense tvs, and I also have Sony/Samsung. Hisense isn't as good, but it gets damn near close for a fraction of the price

I have this TV (55") and it replaces a 43" Samsung plasma that lasted 10 years until the pop of death happened. It's an okay TV for the price. Not the best picture, and not compared to the Plasma it replaced, but it suffices for watching content. Why this TV? Costco extended warranty and understanding that I will only be out a few hundred dollars should something happen outside of the warranty instead of much more had I invested in a more expensive TV. If I win the lotto, I would end up buying the Panasonic miniLED Costco has for $1000.

Yeah I forgot to mention in OP but a major part of my decision to buy this is because it includes a Costco 3-year warranty. That's worth let's say $30 to me over buying a similar budget TV from another store/deal.

I actually don't watch TV, any shows, no Netflix/subscriptions of any kind, don't play video games. I literally have zero use for a TV. I just bought it (and a TV stand) to make my place look a little more "normal" and give off less serial killer vibes. Gotten this same exact feedback from like 5 women now Big Grin
