There's a big difference between the U7G and U7N. The 75U7G isn't Mini-LED like the 75U7N, and the 75U7G has only 120 dimming zones vs. 512 on the 75U7N.
I just bought this exact TV from Costco a couple of weeks ago just before the BF flyer came out, I am assured I will be able to claim a 30 day price adjustment refund... But just wanted to say that this TV is absolutely incredible right out of the box. Obviously disabled all the true motion soap opera effect stuff immediately but once that is done, the image quality, color depth, contrast, peak brightness, and motion accuracy are all some of the best I've ever seen, easily on par with LG OLED C-series models. I absolutely love it. Inaugurated it by watching Gravity on Blu-ray and it blew me away.

Good deal for the money. I like Hisense TV's for inexpensive but still good looking sets. Plus Costco is great to buy from.

Description auto generated says mini LED LCD TV lol. Image says QLED. If QLED and mini LED, there should be no bright ghosting on dark scenes so that'll be nice. This in comparison to anything 75"+ is a good deal. Although I got my 65" TCL 4 series for $229 and 55" 5 series QLED for $200 in 2022

This is an amazing deal if it's the u75n, it was last on sale at 1400$ and the 1400 price was a drop from 2k. Super awesome TV, and for 900 dollars that's crazy!
Item 9475075
Model 75U75N

It is also a part of Costco's Black Friday deal Starting online 11/11.

I am going to get this TV for the living room. The Hisense 75" u6n, u7n, and u8n all have IPS displays. IPS displays have great viewing angles but not great contrast. The living room is an open lay out and needs a wide viewing area. My choices are IPS like this or an OLED.

Problem is it has been listed out of stock for months at my zip code in FL. I am just waiting for it to be in stock to purchase. My zip code in NY it is listed as in stock, so odd.

It looks again like RTINGS has tested the 65" VA panel variant as opposed to the 75" ADS Pro panel type. I based my 75" u7g purchase on the good review from RTINGS in the past, only to find the 75" had a ridiculously bloomy IPS panel which performs notably worse than the entire rest of the lineup.

Expect that this 75" may not perform as well as the rest of the lineup, YMMV. I hate watching dark movies on my 75" u7g, it looks ridiculously bad when local dimming tries to do anything. God help you if an object moves across a dark scene, you will see every zone activation & the bloom moves along with it. However in bright scenes it's amazing. Hopefully this version (2 years newer) is a little better, but buyer beware. Do not expect anything like an OLED or even many other mini LEDs if it's like my u7g 75" at all.

I realize that, which is why I did not claim to have purchased this exact model.. but was warning of good reviews of other panels within the same model range.

Number of dimming zones still means little if the bloom from them ruins the picture and contrast nearby. I wanted to highlight the fact RTINGS reviews may be testing a completely different panel in the lineup than people think they are. They do this again with the U8N, 75" panel is completely different and they review the 65"! That's 3 for 3 potentially misleading reviews for Hisense 75" buyers, and I was burned by it.

Size US Model Local Dimming Zones Panel Type
55" Hisense 55U8N 672 VA
65" Hisense 65U8N 1,600 VA
75" Hisense 75U8N 2,000 ADS Pro
85" Hisense 85U8N 1,296 VA
100" Hisense 100U8N 1,620 VA

Sorry you feel you got burned. FWIW... Rtings did a separate review for the Hisense 75U8N with same overall rating (8.5) and same blooming control rating (8.0) as the 65" review. There's no reason to not expect the same for the U7N series... Overall 8.2... Blooming Control 7.0. While the Blooming Control on the U7G is 6.0.
