"Actually... this U70N/U76N series is not the same class as the regular U7 series. This 100" U70N/U76N series is QLED with 800 nits peak brightness and 256 dimming zones. The U7 series is Mini-LED with close to 1500 nits peak brightness. For context... currently, the largest U7 released is 85", and has over 600 dimming zones."

This is $1,649 in store. I was at my local Costco today and saw it.

Wow. This price is $200 less than the upcoming deal advertised in their holiday/BF AD and I really don't know why.

Great price especially considering the 5 year warranty, install and $100 Google Play GC. It's possible the install company won't come through, and if that's the case you can contact Costco to get the retail value refunded*

Edit: *I was only relaying the idea of a possible refund for the install from Costco as reported in another thread. Now hearing Costco may deny this. YMMV

That's what I thought too but then someone pointed out that the u75 lists the brightness level at 800 nits but the u70 does not even list a brightness level

The AVS owners thread has some good feedback and links some youtube reviews in the OP. I've had it a few months and have been very impressed thus far, but I'm no expert. I think the general consensus is that more expensive TV's (like the 100" Hisense U8) have a better image, but this set is pretty impressive for the price.

I'm debating between this, the tcl mini led 100 inch for 2500 and the 80 inch lg b4 OLED for 2500. It's a tough choice.

100" U8 at this price would be a steal. Shame Costco does not carry it.

QLED = local dimming, yes? Have heard not so great things about Hisense though. My TCL 4 and 5 series have been great since we got our place in 2022.

So the TV is delivered by a courier and then we are supposed book an installation separately? If Handy wont show, Costco will hand back the installation fee? Sounds even better.
