"Actually... this U70N/U76N series is not the same class as the regular U7 series. This 100" U70N/U76N series is QLED with 800 nits peak brightness and 256 dimming zones. The U7 series is Mini-LED with close to 1500 nits peak brightness. For context... currently, the largest U7 released is 85", and has over 600 dimming zones."
This is $1,649 in store. I was at my local Costco today and saw it.
Wow. This price is $200 less than the upcoming deal advertised in their holiday/BF AD and I really don't know why.

Great price especially considering the 5 year warranty, install and $100 Google Play GC. It's possible the install company won't come through, and if that's the case you can contact Costco to get the retail value refunded*

Edit: *I was only relaying the idea of a possible refund for the install from Costco as reported in another thread. Now hearing Costco may deny this. YMMV

800 nits brightness level is listed on the attached U70N spec sheet...https://mobilecontent.costco.com/...ations.pdf
the Hisense 100U70N and 100U76N refer to the same television model. The 100U76N is the official model number, while 100U70N is an alias used in some contexts. Both designations pertain to Hisense's 100-inch U76 Series 4K QLED UHD Smart Google TV.

That has been confirmed in this thread quite a few times. So, now you're on-board. It was you a few pages back in the posts that was saying the 100U76N and 100U70N are completely different TV's. Hmmm...

I have a projector epson 5050ub and am moving my home theater room to a bigger room. The cost to get someone to install it is about a grand (wiring sucks!!)

What's y'all's stances on a 100" tv vs 110" projector? I already have the screen and stuff but man that sunk install cost is as much as a tv

Pretty sure that a TV is brighter than any projector can do. It may or may not make a difference though depending on how dark your room can get.
Although going to a bigger room but drop 10" on screen size, your eyes might not appreciate that.

I moved from a 110" DIY screen with mitsibushi 1080p in darkened man cave to this.

Redid my main living room and have this wall mounted. Now I can watch TV/movies etc in a living room with tons of light, open blinds and enjoy the picture. I'm now redoing my man cave as a home office for my wife.

This TV is more than bright enough for most living rooms (inc hdr).

I just bought the TV from Costco Warehouse. Do I need to register with Allstate for the warranty? What is the procedure? I asked the cashier, but she was too busy to answer me.

I disagree entirely - they ARE separate units, where the U70N does not have all the bells and whistles of the U76N.

Here is the link for the 100U70N (Costco offer model):
https://www.hisense-usa.com/telev...0n-hisense
Here is the link for the 100U76N (Walmart offer model):
https://www.hisense-usa.com/telev...6n-hisense

They are very close, but not the same item. Even has different UPC codes.
Can anyone else do a side by side of the details? The website puts some of the features in different places, so search all the sections - but maybe the only difference is that the U70N doesn't support "Advanced HDR"?

Good catch on the Advanced HDR... if that's the case, and not a Hisense oversight.
Warehouse (Costco) models use a lot of different UPC codes to deter price matching.
Like you said... the Hisense website has features listed in different places, so I originally compared the attached spec sheet from Costco's website (100U70N) with the spec sheet in the Resources Section near the bottom of of the 100U76N page on Hisense's website. That's where I saw no difference other than the remote.

I purchased a wall mount along with a Wall Plate Cable Pass Through kit. Will Handy Premier Services take care of the installation for both the wall mount and the cable pass-through kit, or do I need to install them myself? I'm concerned that if I need to cut into the drywall for the wall mount, I may cut the wrong spot because I'm not sure where the TV inputs are located. Any advice would be appreciated!
