studies have shown the 70% disinfects better as it doesn't evaporate as fast as the 91% and has more time to denature the cell wall of the bacteria/virus.
I use higher percentage to clean electronics I'm repairing.
A must have for electronics repair.

Seriously. I work in medical device development and can recall getting alcohol for the manufacturing process was basically impossible.

91% is often called "technical grade" and really used for cleaning, electronics, etc. Not as effective as a higher water % grade at lysing bacteria and viriii.




FWIW current local Costco price for 2x32 oz of 70% is $6.

I don't disagree, but you can always just pickup and not window shop / impulse buy the other stuff in the store? No one is forcing you to buy anything else when in the store...
