I have this welder and used it for a hobby welding class at the community college. Our instructor has one, he endorsed it for casual use. Works great for my needs.

Find an old used mig welder. I picked up my Hobart BetaMig 250 for $500. If there's ever nuclear war here it's going to be cockroaches and that welder left. Cool

I have had 2 Yes welders, both died. The 1st after a little over a year, and the 2nd dead out of the box. Also the customer service is via email and it's always a day behind. But they do try to help and honor their warranty. For me, another Yes welder is out of the question. I want a machine the works when you turn it on

Thanks! I was looking at that one for the past few days on Amazon but the price went up. I finally decided to go with this one for the higher amp rating and the good results on Project Farm. I would be happy learning on either one I'm sure

lol, nice... mine arrived today too but I don't have any wire/mask/gloves (yet)... will give it a try one way or another fairly soon to at least make sure it works.
