Just any FYI, for a shorter person, these 22+ ladders are a tricky task to get up against something when fully extended or they are heavy when trying to extend them when already upright. I'd say under upper 5 foot tall don't have enough reach and you are not beyond the center of its weight so it will come up off the ground as you try to walk it upright. You'll see what I mean when you try it
Me too. I tested it out today. Luckily, I don't need the extra 4' because the wobble on the 22' extension is already more than I care for (I'm 180 lbs). I really like the compact storage design on these though. Once you get used to it, it's easy to set up, but you do need some muscle to fully extend the ladder.
Just got the 22ft for $149. The 26ft is 50.44 lbs.

I have the 16' version and it has been pretty great for a lot of different tasks.

I will say that these are quite heavy.

While it is more expensive than the 22, this was perfect for the shop I built recently. I can reach the ceilings safely, and it feels sturdy. Might be overkill for the regular home owner, but man this thing is tall.

Wtf. This is a 22' ladder...."26' reach"

Was gonna get this to be able to get on the second story but wouldn't be enough right?

How do we know your ceiling height?

Confusing, right? Reach height appears to be standard on how all the major brands market these. If you're planning to get on the roof, ideally you want the ladder to go over the roof line as least a few feet.

Thanks OP. I might actually get this since last year it was a bit more expensive around the same time when the 22' one was on sale for $159. I needed to reach a part on the corner tip of the roof but it's easier to access from the ground than walking on the steep roof slope and the 22' barely reach it, so I'm getting this so I have the extra few feet to safely reach it, plus I really like multipostion ladder for their compact storage and I don't mind the weight since I can easily lift it. I would rather save the money here than spending on a hospital bill... or worse

Ladders are sold by "reach height" after you get past the indoor sizes.

Gotcha. I did a little research and seems like these multi position ones are by Reach, but regular extension ladders are just by length.

Yes, with the caveat that extension ladder length is the sum of the length of the parts. Actual length will be shorter because of the overlap.

The product page (for another 26' ladder on same page) says it's 11.5' on stepladder mode https://gorillamade.com/product/glmpx-26w-2/

Which is great. I was gonna complain about the weight but it seems comparable to a fixed length fiberglass 12' ladder from Werner.
