Just had a pair of Sony XB901N headphones snap across the plastic retainer at ear cup hinge - it's a design flaw and probably weak injection mold plastic - broke within 10 months of normal use and Sony is denying my warranty claim for defect saying it's "consequential" physical damage.
Am seeking ANY product other than Sony and looking at these Bose - anybody know if their warranty process acts better than what I just described above?

They don't have the ability to do neither, so if you're doing something like yard work, quick and loud concussive sounds are amplified by the headphones. my qc45's mic is next to worthless, to the point that i have to disable it every time i make a call, i don't think it was any different from qc35. if your use case involved making phone calls , then i believe this would be worthy upgrade.
otherwise i find the upgrade to be not worth paying. yes you got better sound quality, but let's be real: no one care about those sound quality when you on a airplane, airport or busy office, and if you do care about sound quality, get a open back headphone for those
