Depends on use maybe but I'd argue AAs are better because if you're doing anything live, it's easier just to pop in new batteries than to keep them plugged in or charge them. Most pro mics I've used are generally 9V that we use new ones before any show. Other option is rechargeables that can be hotswapped but it's easier/cheaper to just grab a new pair of AAs than find and manage multiple battery packs.

Anyone in the AV space want to comment on these.

I want to donate some good wireless microphones to an organization that I volunteer with. Seems the wireless microphones they have always feedback. Could also be their setup as I dont believe speakers placements are ideal.

Wish these were rechargeable instead of AA's. A mic like this with USB-C charging would be nice!

I am actually in the market for microphones. I have a Yamaha receiver along with an Audio Mixer by Behringer. Wondering if i can plug the JBL receiver in the Behringer mixer and then use two microphones?

I would prefer AA also. Easily swap. If you want rechargable get rechargable AA.

Question is how is the quality and delay?

I would say yes, though you would not be able to mix the microphones independently... they will be on the same channel.

Feedback is generally a positioning problem and likely nothing to do with the mic. It occurs when the mic picks up sound from the speaker, amplifies it, and then it repeats as a feedback loop as it gets louder and louder infinitely. Any mic in front of a speaker will lead to feedback.

Interference though is a problem with wireless microphones and the distance and how many mics is a big factor. Pro mics come in frequency ranges and each mic can be set to any specific frequency in that range. Different sets usually have different ranges so you can have a bunch of mics in the same area. These mics are obviously not for that use but they're at least UHF frequencies (good). RF/VHF are cheaper/weaker systems and can cause more interference/connection problems. These are only 2 channel though so you'll only be able to use 2 of these mics together max in the same vicinity.

I have no experience with these but they're probably decent for karaoke or small stage uses. Pro systems like Sennheiser and Shure obviously will be more reliable and cost multiple times more.

Yup, sounds about right. It's only one receiver with one mono output so the mixer would be getting one input. Both mics would always have to be the same gain/volume/EQ.

I bought this from amazon and had to return it. There's no way to change mic volume etc

I use these for karaoke in my garage and they work great. I don't have any feedback issues unless they're right in front of the speaker. Tempted to get a second pair so more people can join in for backing vocals, group choruses and such.

The new version [jbl.com]of these are rechargeable via USB-C. But you're not going to find them at this price anytime soon.
