Using it around house and kitchen as well, used it to cut chicken bones and cartilages.

These are great shears. Not only do they cut thick and tough things like closed cell foam, but they also cut sheer things with precision. I'm tempted to get another pair.

Bought the 10" version last time it was on sale. Amazing shears, but not very left hand friendly. The top handle loop is sharply angled for the thumb of the right hand that it's actually painful to use it with the left hand.

Got the 10" also on the last deal. They are so good, thought I'd buy the 8" for my desk and keep the 10" in the kitchen or tool box.

Are these better or their Utility Snips, which are currently 40% off for $14.99? The Utility Snips claim to have 200% more power vs these, which "only" have 30% more power.

I'm not much of a DYI person but these look useful. Is there any reason to buy them when I already have good scissors, a box cutter and a pair of aviation snips?

I don't have their Utility Snips. However, many years ago we bought some similarly styled Oxo snips. Under very rare, light usage, one day the plastic handle disintegrated off of the little metal knub it was molded onto.
I was forced to purchase the 10" shears in 2019ish for a ridiculous B&M price through necessity, and when I have used them they have been excellent. I can't actually find my aviation snips, so they're being used for random pieces of flashing until the next time I run across some underlayment or vinyl that needs long cuts.

I was here thinking the same. I cutout stickers with these, cut my dogs treats, and whatever else needs to be done. Powerful scissors.

I'll try. These might be good for my mom. She has the worst scissors in the drawer.

The Utility Snips you link to are great at cutting through very tough things. I use them for cutting big black drum fish and they are great at cutting off the tough fins and belly. I also use another pair to cut crab legs and lobster at the dinner table. They are strong and will last. I bought them at 14.49 in 12/23 and 14.95 in 5/24 so the current price seems pretty standard at 14.96 right now.
