Very nice! I bought into the whole Kreg ACS system when it came out. By far, one of the best tool investments I've ever made. Cuts are smooth with the stock blades and highly accurate with the track and/or table.

The link above takes me to the new saw that is replacing the old clearance one. This new one has an item# of 5426013 and a Model # of ACS-SAWBB. The old one which is on clearance is Item # 4897493 and Model # ACS-SAW. They are still out there but there is no way to look it up online via the site or app. They had sold the last one yesterday at my store but he looked up in their system that there are two at a nearby store. I'll try there tomorrow…

There was one left at the other store I checked out. They had already put the new saw out at the old location so at first it looked like it was the one on clearance. Look at the numbers I posted above. There was one old one behind it. The old one has a soft case with it. The new one doesn't come with a case...

I understand track saw is better than circular saw for accuracy, but the latter is better for portability and versatility. I already have a circular saw and have recently bought a 10' track guide for accurate straight cuts. Any other reasons I need a track saw?

Straight edge with good clamps will do the job just fine imo.

Just make sure you're lining up the edge of the tape measure to the blade and you're accounting for the width of the blade plus which side of the lumber you're using.

Plunge cuts is another reason to have the track saw. Maybe you never do plunge cuts. I've used various guides and clamps over the years and they are more fiddly and time consuming to use… But I've gotten good results using them…
