So I see a lot of comments about using the coupon for a 32 Gallon Trash can. However, the Ace branded on is "on sale" (at least in my area) so the coupon does not apply to sale items only regularly priced items. I imagine they put a lot of items on sale, even if it's just a few cents to get out of having to honor the coupon!

The brute doesn't come with lid. All in with lid is about $36 + tax, assuming the coupon is applied on separate transactions. Is it worth it for that much?

Your argument would hold more water if the original comment was just posted on this deal, but it was a comment directed towards someone specifically suggesting a trashcan. Here in Slickdeals, members are constantly asking each other for ideas on how to use things for which they don't see an immediate use. In this case, the item is a trashcan. I'm glad you see such an easy use for it from your experience. My point is that not everyone has that experience, and asking for guidance is not silly.
