The OP characterizes these as 'economical design' which is correct. They have wooden handles rather than composite, and the throat is only 2.5". They are good clamps from a premium manufacturer, but you should be aware of those limitations. To put the price in context, a single 6" clamp with a 3.5" throat and a composite handle costs as much as this entire set!

That said, I prefer trigger style clamps for quick work and parallel clamps for more serious jobs. Bar clamps and up collecting dust. Just my experience, others may differ.
