I would only recommend this if you are in a pinch, the motor isn't as powerful as the normal sonicare brushes(13,000 brush strokes per min vs. 31,000 in a regular sonicare like the 4100) and the heads aren't interchangeable with the rest of the sonicare line.

Thank you, I was about to buy two for gifts but will splurge a bit more for the regular.

I totally agree. I have the 4100 for my day to day brush and I bought the One bettery version last month for $10 from Woot so I don't have to bring a charger on a 10 day trip. I find the One much weaker.

Its stupid that they don't use the same heads. I would buy one for travel if it used the same heads even if the motor isn't as powerful.

do not buy this, as someone who has used sonicare for 15 years and tried this as my travel brush, i have realized a manual $2 brush does a better job. This one just vibrates softly and doesnt clean well at all. With the mainstream sonicares you just need to glide the brush across your teeth , the sonic vibrations take care of "burshing" automatically. However, with the vibrations are not strong enough and the bristles are too soft to get any "actual brushing" done, even if you try to manually brush with it.

Looks like the cable is usb-a to custom. Would have been in for one if it was c to c.

Exactly. I don't travel too much anymore so a head would probably last me years if cared for properly, but that really irks me.

You and others are not understanding what this line of toothbrush is. The ONE toothbrush line (battery or rechargeable) is NOT a sonic toothbrush. It is a manual toothbrush with a built-in 2 mins timer (to help you brush long enough) with a slight added vibration. It is NOT meant to compete with their Sonicare line. It is meant to compete with other regular manual toothbrushes. What the ONE line excels at is the case and design for easy storage/travel. It is good for a weekend trip but I would not use it for long trips. It's great for people who have braces and have to brush their teeth after meals even when they are out and about. So think of it as a cool, high tech MANUAL toothbrush that is well designed for travel and easy storage. That's all it is and that's ALL you should expect from it.

This toothbrush is a joke. It's a manual toothbrush that makes noise and sort of vibrates a little in a non-useful way. It's not a real sonicare

How does this compare to the battery operated version in terms of power?
