Still useful. Used my dremmel to cut a 1/4×20 threaded rod for an air filter cover on a mower the other day.
If a door in your house won't shut you can expand/grind the strike plate open a little larger with one of these.

Everything else in these kits can be purchased from a no-name company for way less and the quality will be roughly on par.
Side note: One way I've started to offset needing to buy a bunch of wheels in bulk is by making most of my plunge cuts with an oscillating multitool. The blades last longer and can get into some pretty tight spaces that the Dremel can't. If you still need the abrasive properties, sticky back sandpaper can be added to the face of the blade.
i use these bits with a variable speed black and decker rtx rotary tool that i've had for over a decade. you'll find uses for these bits over time. it has its uses for small projects where you dont want to whip out the big tools.
Not to mention, there's not a lot of difference in the cheap sanding drums versus the Dremel branded ones.

I bought a 3-pack of all 3 popular Dremel tools and only ever used the rotary, a just a couple of times - to custom trim a roof rack for a vehicle. Just grinding discs to cut ends. It paid for itself for those little uses. Wish I was like others and used them all more, but not in their situations (sadly).
