Two questions for those using HomeBase 3, has Eufy made the migration process from HB2 to 3 any easier? Last I checked you had to basically reset up your from scratch, repairing each individual camera.
Does HB3 make the "decrypting from local storage" any faster? Ever since they added encryption the delay to view video has been annoying.

Two questions for those using HomeBase 3, has Eufy made the migration process from HB2 to 3 any easier? Last I checked you had to basically reset up your from scratch, repairing each individual camera.
Does HB3 make the "decrypting from local storage" any faster? Ever since they added encryption the delay to view video has been annoying.

I have a soloCam S340 that works well with it's AI tracking. Wondering what is the real benefit of the Homebase then.

I have my Floodlight Camera E340 added to Synology nas for local storage. But doesn't matter how hard I have checked and corrected the settings, my motion - recording videos are always missing the first 5 important seconds when I playback the footage. Not sure when I buy and locally save these videos in Homebase 3 if it fixes the problem? Or am I missing something?

Wondering the same. Been researching and it seems to be the AI detection is "better" on the home base 3?

They probably will at some point. Seems inevitable. I think Reolink is just coming out with theirs now.

I believe the only benefit for the homebase is that it just stores video data longer? The AI Tracking is separate functionality, but not 100% sure

Not for me, I had to resync every camera to the new home base.

So the onboard memory at least with the S220 is only 8 Gigs per cam. With Home base you can add up to 16 Terabytes of SSD storage for the camera's to record footage and store locally and not on the cloud.

Mine has a 1tb SSD (almost 10yr old Samsung) and I've never had issues viewing videos.

Can confirm: Had to remove HB2 and all connected devices and re-pair said devices with HB3. Slightly annoying, but no problems afterward.
