get the 72 or 74 piece from HD, it's more saving than this package. Same with the 120 piece as well. only a few bucks more.

I won't purchase these any more solely because the case is absolute garbage.

Really? I thought that most everyone agreed that these new cases are a significant improvement over the old ones. What is it that you don't like about these cases?

Yaas!! I have the old crappy Milwaukee box and this new box, which is the improved case. The old design was bad, because the bits had to be slid into/out the chambers and the chambers were too tight, so removing and installing the bits was a bitch. I ended up removing all the bits from that case and stored them in a poly clear zipper bag and tossed the case in the trash. This new design case allows for easy install and removal, because the bits push and lock real easy from the front. The variety & quality is there, cause it's Milwaukee. There are duplicates to up the bit count, but I knew that going in so no bigee.

I know the Makita XPS are the best (according to Projectfarm) but this has variety for a home dyer. What do you guys think?

BTW, this is the one I'm talking about. 60 piece Makita XPS. less piece and a little bit more expensive. might be worth it though.

Has anyone noticed the quality of these bits declining over the past few years? My old bits that came in the crappy case lasted for years, but now I'm noticing the new ones get chewed up quite a bit easier.

This season want to get the end all bit set that has a comprehensive variety of bits that will be able to tackle anything. For example, this doesn't appear to have nut drivers. Anyone have any recommendations?

This set has 1/4, 5/16, and 3/8 nut drivers. But if that doesn't suit your needs, there are dozens of other sets on sale this holiday season.

I got the 45 piece set a month ago for $25. Would hd take it back if I used a bit? I guess I'd get the 80. I like that the 45 and 80 come with a hex to 3/8 impact adapter.

Realistically, it's not like I'll make my way through all of these by the time I die anyway haha

These bits are absolute garbage. The Philips head shears and cams out within using just 2/3 times with an impact driver. I'm throwing bits left and right everyone I use it. The deal is not worth it.
