IMO, this is absolutely worth $30. So $25 seems like theft. I pumped over 110 hours into this game last year. Great story and great combat. Overstays its welcome a little toward the end, but that's my only critique. An easy 9/10.

There is a complete digital version of the game now. I dont think there is a disc version with everything included yet.

If they release a complete physical version it will probably be next year whenever/after the switch 2 comes out.

Good price. But I'm holding out in case it gets added to PS+ Extra. It got added there by mistake for a few hours last month. So, folks are thinking it seems likely it would happen in the near future. It's usually when $70 games hit the $20-$25 price tier is when they come to subscription services as well, so time seems about right.

Well worth $25.

It never felt "grindy" to me but was still challenging in parts until you figured out the right Eikon load-outs. I would say my only complaint with it was that you got a couple of the Eikons near enough to the end-game that I wasn't willing to change up my combat style to level them up for using in the final stages; on the other hand, that might be a good excuse to start a New Game+ on Final Fantasy difficulty.

Great (but very different) entry into the Final Fantasy series, especially at this price. I bought it in July at $28, given the content I would've been glad to pay full price for it.. Don't expect it to drop much lower (if at all) the next 6 months or so.

As a hardcore FF fan who's played every mainline game and almost every spinoff, I was disappointed overall, even after I was very satisfied with the early game. Honestly never felt like it never grew in complexity and you always just spammed the same combos over and over. Side quests were absolutely worthless with no real reward system and progress was far far far too linear for my taste. For example grinding out sword upgrades was useless since the game would give you regular upgrades every half hour.

But with all that being said this is a great price point to jump in and see if it's your kind of game.
