1: It's a port of a 3DS game, so it's on the short side for a PC game, but pretty long for a 3DS game
2: The game has 3 acts, each one separated by its own set of credits, and the third act you'll probably need to read a guide to figure out how to trigger
That said, if you're played out on Stardew Valley or maybe want something a bit more action adventure-ee, it's a solid choice.
Maybe they've improved it a bit since release, but it was like they released the game at about 50% complete. The engine was complete and gameplay was fine, so there's at least that, but in terms of content it seems like it had less than RF4, which was a 3DS game. You could finish the entire main story in less than a single game year without even really trying to do a speed run or anything. The 3D also kind of screwed with the ability to stack a bunch of crops and then toss them into the shipping bin. And for some reason they made the marriage system ridiculously complicated, and the dragon farms was not a bad idea so much as very poorly executed. Feels like there were more NPCs in RF4 as well. The town felt alive, where RF5 it feels like a standard static town from RPGs of yore.
RF4 is not without its flaws, but RF5 was a step backwards. The experiment with a 3D world is fine, but it just felt like they didn't really think it through, or have the time/budget needed to make it work well. If there's a RF6, hopefully they'll be able to take the time needed to make it work well as a 3D game or go back to fixed perspective like previous games.
